Dr. John Wordsworth, Technical Director
John learnt the basics of programming on a TI-81 calculator before moving to the world of Pascal and C. At University he studied Mathematics and Computer Science before earning his PhD in Applied Mathematics. With over 10 years of experience coding Perl and PHP for the web, alongside extensive experience working with game engines, John now enjoys coding mobile platforms, gaming consoles and programming for modern GPU’s, especially for dynamical simulations.
Outside of being a Geek, John enjoys the arts and had a ball directing a Gilbert and Sullivan production, The Yeomen of the Guard. He was also heavily involved with the media while a student, editing the student paper, acting as Station Manager for the online TV station and DJing and producing a popular radio show.
Jackson Matthews, Creative Director
Jackson read I.T and Media Studies at UCP Marjon in Plymouth. Since attaining his degree he worked for over 7 years for Stonebridge Colleges in Bude, Cornwall. During his time with Stonebridge Colleges, Jackson was responsible for working on the online courses and he prepared the courses for online viewing. This involved converting the content for the web, but also allowed for some time working with design and artwork, which is always way more fun. Now Jackson flexes his creative muscles in a more vibrant environment, making artwork and stages for Iron Star Media’s games.
When not working, Jackson enjoys putting pencil to paper, drawing comics and scenes from fantasy and science fiction settings. Jackson also enjoys a bit of gaming on the side, and could easily loose large portions of his life playing through the God of War Trilogy or Elder Scrolls IV.
